Fox affiliate bans ad attacking Murphy

In a statement released by FoxCT, the station says that after reviewing documentation provided by American Action Network it "believes the commercial's claims are unsubstantiated and has removed it from the air."
Among the false claims in the commercial: it would provide free health care for illegal immigrants and would impose jail time for persons who failed to buy health insurance.
A second commercial that has been airing for a week, which also has inaccuracies, remains on the air. Among its claims: Murphy voted to provide Viagra for sex offenders.
James Landry, a spokesman for American Action, did not immediately return a call for comment. The group has spent nearly $900,000 in the past two weeks to air the two commercials.
"This ad destroys any credibility this shadowy group may have had," Murphy said.
Television stations have little discretion over running candidate ads, but they are not required to accept the ads of independent groups.

A repost of a question that failed to get a satisfactory response last time.
Spammers send out many millions of spam-emails daily clogging up our mailboxes and eating our internet bandwidth, costing the global economy billions per year.
Spammers are constantly on the run from people trying to shut them down. It's hard work being a spammer. But also very lucrative - although the vast majority of us bin that spam as soon as we see it, some people DO actually buy stuff that's advertised in spam emails. Maybe only a handful of responses per million spams sent out - but those people keep the spammers in business. Big-time spammers drive expensive cars and live in big houses.
So, is there anyone out there who actually buys stuff advertised in spam emails? C'mon, don't be shy.......Let's hear from you!
I KNOW you are out there - someone is keeping these spammers in business....who are these people who buy mortgages or viagra from the spammers? They must exist!

The CIA has developed a novel incentive to gain cooperation and support in Taliban-plagued Afghanistan - handing out libido-enhancing Viagra pills to targeted village patriarchs, according to a report in the Washington Post.
“Whatever it takes to make friends and influence people - whether it’s building a school or handing out Viagra,” said one agency operative with multiple tours in that war torn country.
Standard incentives - such as money, jewelry and cars - are too ostentatious, noted another operative to the Post.
“If you give an asset $1,000, he’ll go out and buy the shiniest junk he can find, and it will be apparent that he has suddenly come into a lot of money from someone,” said Jamie Smith, a veteran of CIA covert operations in Afghanistan. “Even if he doesn’t get killed, he becomes ineffective as an informant because everyone knows where he got it.”
The key, Smith said, is to find a way to meet the informant’s personal needs in a way that keeps him firmly on your side but leaves little or no visible trace.
“You’re trying to bridge a gap between people living in the 18th century and people coming in from the 21st century,” Smith said, “so you look for those common things in the form of material aid that motivate people everywhere.”
Most of the war lords don't need us to supply them with Viagra,they have a hard on for the US already without our help.What's those fools going to do if there erection last for more then four hours.See their doctor? What doctor.
